Owing to the fact that she was pregnant and unable to go on missions any longer, Violet had gotten the day off of work. Apparently there was only so much paperwork that needed to be done. And now that she couldn't do much else, Violet was actually getting hers done. It was incredibly boring, but she knew it was much safer for the unborn baby if she stayed out of harm's way for a while. She couldn't just think about herself anymore, that was clear.
Violet had spent about a hour at a muggle maternity shop, where she had worked to get the woman to believe that she actually was pregnant. Violet's stomach wasn't really showing quite yet, but she knew it would soon and wanted to take advantage of the shopping opportunity. Unbelievably for Violet, she was excited to be having a baby. She had gone with Jordan to St. Mungo's the previous week and discovered that they were having a boy. Violet saw blue everywhere now.
Shopping bags in hand, Violet stepped outside into the warm summer air. Taking advantage of her still-small frame, Violet had worn a simple sundress in sandals, which she was grateful for now. With anything else on, she would've been baking. As it got closer to July, the weather had gotten much warmer, to the point that Violet didn't like spending so much time outside now. But at least most of the places she went to had air conditioning. It was certainly a lovely thing in the summer.
She headed down the street, looking at the shops to see if she wanted to go anywhere else before taking the train back to a stop near her house. It was a bit of a hike from there to her house, but Violet didn't mind so much. It was actually nicer then the sensation of apparating. Just as she was yearning for a bit of company on that warm day, Violet spotted someone familiar just down the street. She grinned as she recognized who it was.

Abigail figured she'd gone a little over the top with the shopping today. Usually after a day in muggle london, she'd be getting ready to head home, with hands full of bags containing clothes for her, however this time around she was stocked up on a lot of things for the baby. Smiling softly she let her hand rest momentarily over her stomach, taking pride in the small bump growing. It wasn't much but she was hitting 5 months now so she was beginning to show, not much but it was still enough for her. Thankfully as well pregnancy suited the young woman.
Due to the hot weather she'd opted for shorts and a simple strappy top with sandals. Tucking her hair over her shoulders she looked in the windows of the shop as she passed them, her steps faltering when she passed another one, another maternity shop. In the window sat a beautiful crib, changing unit and everything else she needed for the nursery, which she had yet to start. She couldn't wait though, today she'd bought a mobile for the crib she had yet to buy, a beautiful pink one.
Both her and Ransom had been delighted to find out only this month that they were expecting a little girl. Abigail couldn't have been happier, a biting down on her lip she turned from the window smiling. About to turn and cross the street she paused once more, her eyes catching on a stationary figure just a little bit up the street. Realizing who it was, Abigail's smile began to widen and she started moving towards the other girl, "Vi...imagine seeing you here!"

Violet laughed as she stepped toward her friend, quickly embracing the other woman. They hadn't really had time to chat in quite a while, so Violet was quite excited to see her friend, even if it was in London, where they really couldn't speak openly. There were too many muggles around for that, but Violet wasn't too worried. She and Abigail had never really spoken about magic that much, apart from their jobs.
"Hello Abi!" she said cheerfully as she released her friend. Violet took a good look at Abigail, and the tiny bump on her stomach. Could it be? But it had to be, since Abigail had always been so slim. It seemed odd since Abigail didn't really have a steady man in her life, but Violet supposed these things happened.
"Are you pregnant?" Violet asked, almost giddy with excitement. She was elated that they could share this experience. Most of Violet's friends were unmarried, and many were single to boot. Her sister, Wren, was her only friend with kids at the moment, too. But perhaps Violet and Abigail could go to classes together and maybe their kids would even be good friends. Violet was already excited.

Abigail smiled brightly at Violet, she'd heard from Wren only a few weeks ago that she was pregnant and Abigial couldn't have been happier for her friend. Though it had felt too tacky to send a congradulations by OWL, so bumping into her friend now had been a blessing really. Before she could mention anything though, Vi asked her if SHE was pregnant and Abigail immediatley felt her cheeks burn, as her hand rested unconciously on her small bump.
"You caught me..." she laughed lightly, looking down at her stomach and then back up at Vi. Obviously her friend didn't know about Ransom, not many people did and those who had heard, really didn't approve of them. Shaking her head she smiled at Violet, almost eager to get the topic off herself. "I hear a congratulations is in order for you and that hunk of a husband...Wren told me the other week Vi!" she said, happily, her curls bouncing over her shoulders, "I'm so happy for you both...!"
